Michael Crichton: “Jurassic Park”
Crichton roughly modeled his book after Doyle and incorporated modern technology into the story. Much better than the movie! Check also his sequel “The Lost World”, not by chance titled like Doyle’s book.

Ed Culberson: “Obsessions Die Hard”
A fitting title: Culberson had the dream of taking his motorbike through the Darien Gap between Panama and Colombia, which is a long stretch of pure jungle. In this book he describes how he, not in his twenties anymore, drags and carries his beloved “Amigo” through hell, thus becoming the first man to accomplish this feat.
His book is a gripping account of a jungle adventure in Latin America – a must for all motorbikers!
